How do I get to Minca?

Travel times from:

• Cartagena  3 hours
• Barranquilla 1.5 hours
  
• Santa Marta  30 minutes
  

There are several options of transportation to reach Minca.

Private car: The road to Minca is very accessible. When coming from Cartagena and Barranquilla you must travel in the direction of Santa Marta, keep to the right by following the signs to "Riohacha". You will see a large sign "Minca" . Turn right after the gas station and follow the road until you reach Minca. 

Mass transit: There are two choices when coming from Cartagena and Barranquilla.

Large Buses- this is the slowest way to Minca but most economic. It will originate in the bus terminal. Then you will travel to Santa Marta's bus terminal where you will request a taxi or local bus to where the truck to Minca leaves every hour between 6AM and 5PM. Approximate cost one way is 22,000 pesos.

Private transport companies-this is a door to door service that could be found near the Cartagena or Barranquilla Airports. These are private air-conditioned buses that accommodate between 6 to 8 passengers. This service will drive you directly to where the transport leaves from Santa Marta to Minca. Approximate cost one way is 50,000 pesos.  

How do I get to " CASA SANTANDER" when I reach Minca?

From the center of Minca take a right towards the Church. Pass he church and look for the sign" Casa Santander"
make a right and follow the road down, pass "Buruake", but if you pass "Dona Ana" you have gone too far.
